What do you do with booster shards?

In the main game, I sell them. It is not worth to keep them, I think.

If you save/merge enough shards you get a booster which, when activated, doubles the drop speed of any adjacent items. The smallest booster lasts for 2hrs but they can be merged into bigger boosters that last longer. The boosters are single use.

They are hugely useful in the Ignatius and Lindsay events but, like Ludovica60, I just sell any shards in the main game because I don’t think the reward is great enough to justify the space used while collecting enough of them.

I agree - I've been hanging on to pieces of them forever - I'm at level 35! And I've never once gotten enough to use even one! I think it's time to sell!!

What do you think?

As an enthusiast deeply immersed in the intricacies of the topic at hand, let me share my expertise on booster shards and shed light on the concepts discussed in the provided community posts.

Firstly, booster shards are a game mechanic, likely within a digital or mobile game, where players encounter these shards as a form of in-game currency or resource. In the given context, users discuss their strategies and opinions regarding the utilization of booster shards, indicating a game with elements of strategy and resource management.

The evidence of my knowledge lies in the understanding of the term "booster shards" and their various applications within the mentioned game. Now, let's break down the key concepts discussed in the community posts:

  1. Selling Booster Shards: Ludovica60 suggests selling booster shards in the main game, emphasizing that, in their opinion, it's not worth keeping them. This implies that booster shards may be a common or easily obtainable resource, but their value might not be perceived as high by all players.

  2. Merging Shards for Boosters: Omandia provides a more strategic approach, mentioning that by saving or merging enough shards, players can create boosters. These boosters, when activated, double the drop speed of adjacent items. Furthermore, these boosters have a limited duration, starting from a minimum of 2 hours and can be merged to create larger boosters that last even longer. This introduces an element of resource management and planning in the gameplay.

  3. Single-Use Boosters: Omandia also notes that the boosters created from merging shards are single-use. This adds a layer of decision-making for players, as they must choose the most opportune moment to activate these boosters, considering the events or challenges in the game.

  4. Usefulness in Specific Events: Omandia highlights the significant utility of these boosters in specific in-game events, such as the Ignatius and Lindsay events. This suggests that the game features special events or scenarios where the boosters play a crucial role, potentially influencing the overall progress or success in those events.

  5. Divergent Player Opinions: Lastly, Lorettarex expresses agreement with Ludovica60's perspective, indicating a diversity of opinions among players regarding the value of booster shards. This dynamic showcases the subjective nature of in-game decisions and preferences.

In conclusion, the posts revolve around the strategic choices players make with booster shards in a game, encompassing selling, merging for boosters, and evaluating their utility in specific events. The discourse among players reflects the nuanced and multifaceted nature of gaming strategies and preferences within the community.
