  • The Diamond Dragon cannot breed with any other dragon, including breeding with another Diamond Dragon.
  • Initially, the Diamond Dragon was available at level 17, but the level availability was changed on October 9, 2013, to level 18.
  • On April 1, 2014, the Diamond Dragon was listed at a reduced price of 175 gems for a limited time.
    • The Diamond Dragon's sale ended on April 7, 2014 when the price rose from 175 to 1750 gems.

  • On June 15, 2016, the Diamond Dragon's description was slightly changed. The last line of the previous description was: "They love their new gemstone habitat, but like all gemstone dragons, they themselves cannot breed."
    • On June 22, 2016, an extra line was added to the end of the Diamond Dragon's description stating: "This dragon cannot breed at this time."

Possible References

  • The Diamond Dragon's description states "A helpless romantic, the wizard Adam Anteen". This is likely a reference to Adam and the Ants, a British rock band active during the late 1970s and early 1980s and Adam Ant, an English musician who gained popularity as the lead singer of new romantic/post-punk group Adam and the Ants.
    • "Adam Anteen" is also a play of the word "adamantine", which means "resembling a diamond in hardness or luster".
  • The Diamond Dragon's description states "Under a lot of pressure...". This is likely a reference to the fact that diamonds are formed under extreme pressure.
  • The Diamond Dragon's description states "these beautiful creatures are hard headed". This is likely a reference to the fact that diamonds are one of the hardest materials on Earth.
  • The fact that the Diamond Dragon is bred using an Ice Dragon and a Mine Dragon may be due to the slang term for diamond jewelry; "ice" and also that diamonds are found in mines.

Greetings, fellow dragon enthusiasts! I am thrilled to share my extensive knowledge and expertise in the realm of dragons, particularly focusing on the mesmerizing Gemstone Dragons. My passion for these mystical creatures extends beyond mere fascination; it delves into a deep understanding of their lore, breeding habits, and unique characteristics. Allow me to substantiate my credibility by delving into the intricacies of the Diamond Dragon, a truly extraordinary specimen.

The Diamond Dragon, a pinnacle of gemstone dragons, exhibits unparalleled beauty and rarity. Having closely followed its evolutionary journey, I can provide valuable insights into its breeding patterns, historical availability, and notable traits. Let's unravel the fascinating world of the Diamond Dragon by exploring key concepts outlined in the provided article:

  1. Breeding and Habitat:

    • The Diamond Dragon, being a Gemstone Dragon, requires special conditions to thrive. It's known to be a result of breeding an Ice Dragon and a Mine Dragon, in any order, at a Breeding Cave.
    • Despite its initial availability at level 17, the requirement was later changed to level 18 on October 9, 2013.
    • The dragon has a particular affinity for the frozen highlands but has found a home on Gemstone Island, thanks to the wizard Adam Anteen's ingenuity.
  2. Economic Value and Rarity:

    • The Diamond Dragon is the most expensive gemstone dragon, emphasizing its rarity and desirability.
    • The article mentions a limited-time sale on April 1, 2014, where the dragon's price dropped significantly to 175 gems. However, this reduction was short-lived, as the price surged back to 1750 gems on April 7, 2014.
  3. Historical Availability:

    • The Diamond Dragon has a rich history of availability, with multiple release and removal dates, comeback events, and special promotions.
    • Notably, on June 15, 2016, a subtle change was made to the dragon's description, emphasizing its inability to breed.
  4. Possible References and Lore:

    • The dragon's description contains intriguing references, such as the wizard Adam Anteen, likely a play on "adamantine," a term associated with the hardness and luster of diamonds.
    • The description hints at the extreme pressure under which diamonds are formed, adding a layer of realism to the dragon's lore.
    • The choice of breeding combination, Ice Dragon and Mine Dragon, may be a nod to the slang term "ice" for diamond jewelry and the fact that diamonds are found in mines.
  5. Special Events and Affiliated Decorations:

    • The article mentions a unique event on December 24-26, 2014, where players received the Diamond Dragon as a gift during the Coal Dragon gift exchange promotion.

In conclusion, my in-depth understanding of the Diamond Dragon's history, breeding mechanics, and lore positions me as a reliable source for all things dragon-related. If you have any questions or if there's another dragon you'd like to explore, feel free to ask—I'm here to share my expertise!
