Your Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears are arguably the most important tools you'll use during your journey throughout the Lands Between in Elden Ring, as their ability to replenish your hit points or focus points (HP and FP, respectively) is invaluable during bouts with tough enemies and bosses. However, as you level up your character and get higher stats, the baseline Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears will not be able to keep you topped up on HP and FP effectively.

For this reason, it's important that you upgrade your flasks with Sacred Tears that you can find throughout Elden Ring's open world so that they replenish more HP or FP when used. Here's our breakdown on everything you need to know about Sacred Tears, including how to find them and where each one is located.

Elden Ring: How to find Sacred Tears

The process of finding Sacred Tears in Elden Ring is actually surprisingly easy, provided you're willing to thoroughly explore the Lands Between. They are always located at the foot of large statues within church ruins, many of which can be found across the open world's various different regions. These locations often have Sites of Grace in them as well, though not always.

We recommend finding all of Elden Ring's Map Fragments as you look for Sacred Tears, as the detailed drawings on these maps make it easy to spot where churches are located. Church structures are generally narrow and long, making them stand out from ruins and other squarer structures that players can often find in the open world.

Elden Ring: Third Church of Marika Sacred Tear

The Sacred Tear within the Third Church of Marika is the easiest one for players to acquire, as it's close to the game's starting point and is in a relatively safe location. You'll find this church on the east side of Limgrave, close to the border of Caelid and the beginning of the path into the Mistveil forest area.

Elden Ring: Callu Baptismal Church Sacred Tear

This Sacred Tear can be found in the Callu Baptismal Church, which is located in the Weeping Peninsula region that's south of Limgrave. You'll find the church on a forested plateau in the center of the region, directly next to the road that leads to Morne Castle in the south.

Elden Ring: Church of Pilgrimage Sacred Tear

The Church of Pilgrimage is also in the Weeping Peninsula, and it's home to a Sacred Tear as well. You'll find it at the northernmost tip of the region, directly north of the region's Minor Erdtree (marked by a large tree icon on the map).

Elden Ring: Fourth Church of Marika Sacred Tear

The Fourth Church of Marika is yet another church located in the Weeping Peninsula. It's in the western portion of the region, located just north of the small poison swamp there. Watch out for the enemies located throughout the area.

Elden Ring: Church of Irith Sacred Tear

The Church of Irith has a Sacred Tear in it, and it's incredibly hard to miss since it's located directly on the main quest path. You'll find it located to the immediate west of Stormveil Castle's exit into the Liurnia of the Lakes area, which you can access after killing Godrick the Grafted.

Elden Ring: Bellum Church Sacred Tear

The next Sacred Tear you can find is located within the Bellum Church, which is positioned on top of the northeastern cliffs in Liurnia that overlook the path to the entrance to the Altus Plateau region. There are often enemies near the church, so be ready for a fight.

Elden Ring: Church of Inhibition Sacred Tear

There's also a Sacred Tear within the Church of Inhibition, which is located in northern Liurnia of the Lakes on the highest peak in the region. Note that you'll have to deal with many Madness-afflicted enemies in the area, including an NPC that uses Madness incantations against you.

Elden Ring: Stormcaller Church Sacred Tear

To get the Sacred Tear from the Stormcaller Church in the Altus Plateau region, you'll need to travel up to the northeastern part of the map and then travel south down the path that leads to the plateau that the church is sitting on. The church itself is directly north of the massive staircase that leads to the Royal Capital of Leyndell, so be prepared to deal with Leyndell soldiers.

Elden Ring: Second Church of Marika Sacred Tear

The Second Church of Marika is also in the Altus Plateau region and is also home to a Sacred Tear, but it's much easier to reach than the Stormcaller Church is. You'll find it in the central western part of the region on a short and easily accessible plateau.

Elden Ring: Church of the Plague Sacred Tear

The Church of the Plague and its Sacred Tear can be found in eastern Caelid, past Sellia, Town of Sorcery and just west of the battlefield where you fight Starscourge Radahn. Note that to reach it, you'll need to light all three flame towers in Sellia and defeat the boss found after the town's northernmost overlook.

Elden Ring: First Church of Marika Sacred Tear

The First Church of Marika and its Sacred Tear can be found in the Mountaintops of the Giants area. Specifically, it's located on the northeastern tip of the region, directly south of the large frozen lake. Watch out for the ice dragon miniboss that may try to attack you on your way there.

Elden Ring: Church of Repose Sacred Tear

Another Sacred Tear can be found in the Church of Repose, which is located along the southwestern edge of the Mountaintops of the Giants area. There aren't many enemies near the church itself, so it should be relatively easy to get this Sacred Tear.
