What does the fan say to Scrooge? ›

Fan, who came to pick up the younger Scrooge from school in the past, gives him wonderful news. She tells him that he can not only return home, but their father is a much nicer man. The cryptic conversation is never fully explained, nor is the reason for why Scrooge's father would have sent him away.

His younger sister Fan arrives. She is affectionate and excited to tell him he is allowed to come home and not return to school. She says their father is much kinder than he used to be, and has given his permission.
