Is Fjordur a hard map? ›

Yeah, Fjordur blows them all away when it comes to the amount and variety of single-point exploration places like caves and ruins, plus you can build right on the floor of many of the structures, which is nice, but it's prob too hard for beginners.

Collecting 200 Runestones on Fjordur will grant you an additional 10 levels. Gamma variant of last bosses gives extra 5 level, Beta extra 10 and Alpha extra 15 (Non-cumulative on identical bosses). As of current, the maximum level obtainable is level 190 with all the above cleared at Alpha and Max level Chibi-Pets.

The Drengrheimr (also refered as Bleak Falls Barrow due to looking identical to the Bleak Falls Barrow in Skyrim) is an easy cave on Fjordur.

Unique Environmental Features

The Map contains an area that includes 3 portals to 3 different realms. Jotunheim is an Icy Realm with extreme freezing temperatures. Vanaheim is a luscious forest based realm. Asgard is a realm of large vibrant fields and abandoned buildings.

Get yourself a pick, an axe, and lots of extra spears. Also unlock the campfire on the way, because it'll be helpful in surviving Fjordur's deathly nights. Level fortitude and health until you get up to around 25-30 fortitude, which should be good for the time being.

You can only acquire a Fenrir (lvl150) after defeating the Fenrirsūlfr (Fjourd boss) the resulting tame is delivered in a cryopod after the boss dies. The way to tame this creature is to kill the final boss on fjordur. To tame this creature you must kill the final boss on fjordur.

Although ascension is impossible on The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, and Fjordur, you can still use admin commands to ascend. Almost every ascension is possible through admin commands on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The Snow Cave, located within the icy Snow Biome, is the hardest cave in ARK: Survival Ascended by a huge margin, mostly due to the over-leveled creatures that populate it. Untameable Polar Bears, Direwolves, Yetis, and Purlovia reside within the cave, spawning at levels as high as 340 at default settings.

The Island is definitely not the easiest map. But with the other maps it depends what kind of easy you are talking about. Looking at the story maps, Gen 2 is the easiest based on survival but Scorched is the easiest to complete.

The Fjordhawk isn't the most formidable creature in Fjordur but it's arguably the most valuable. After players have tamed the hawk, they can use it to retrieve their lost items following a death. This can be a huge time-saver if players die during a PvE encounter but also if they die as a result of a PvP fight.

Of all the map areas in all of known DLC, Jotunheim ranks as the most inhospitable area to set a base in. This is due to temperature dropping between negative 47 to 55 degree celsius, which requires an extreme amount of Hypothermia protection to ensure that the debuff does not constantly kill you.

All the dinosaurs or all the creatures? Every dinosaur in the game is on The Island. Ragnarok will have every dino until Abbaration comes.

Unless you mean the boss in specific. Scorched Earth is probably the easiest of the 3, followed by Extinction, then abberation but none of them are all that hard. SE is a beautiful desert map but it's kind of small and it doesn't add all that much but it's still a fun map.

Fjordur is supposed to be very cold, and there's an area where it's overwhelmingly cold as well. For starting out, I suggest making a torch as soon as possible, and a small base for you to get in to stay warm.
