Nerd Street Adding New Partners to Esports Tournament Circuits (2024)

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – June 9, 2022 – Nerd Street, the national esports infrastructure company, today announced a series of new strategic partners - BenQ MOBIUZ, Digital Ocean, and Metafy - to promote and support several Nerd Street Champs competitive esports circuits. In addition, CS.MONEY is joining the Nerd Street network to help bring competitive opportunities to gamers everywhere and sponsoring the FTX US presents Fragadelphia.

“Through these new partnerships, we will be able to grow our Nerd Street Champs and Fragadelphia circuits while expanding our reach to new gamers who want to compete at the highest level,” said Stephen Csikos Head of Programming at Nerd Street. “Additionally, gamers will know the spectacular services and products of BenQ Mobiuz, DigitalOcean, Metafy, and CS.MONEY through inclusion in our tournament events and broadcasts.”

BenQ, a global leader in display technology, will promote its MOBIUZ product in support of all upcoming Nerd Street Champs Apex Legends tournaments where competitors of all skill levels showcase their talents in the game with the ultimate goal of being crowned champion. The virtual event kicks off with five online qualifiers, four in-person LAN tournaments and wraps up with a Final Tournament on August 25 in Philadelphia and a prize pot of $10,000.

“We are excited to partner with Nerd Street to welcome all gamers to join the Summer Championship APEX Series and test their skills for a chance to compete in the tournament,” said Alan Song, LCD product marketing manager. “We share Nerd Street’s commitment to delivering top notch experiences for the gaming community. Just as MOBIUZ monitors add thrill to the gaming experience, we hope this event is thrilling for all the participants.”

Digital Ocean, which simplifies cloud computing so builders can spend more time creating software that changes the world, will sponsor all VALORANT tournaments in the Nerd Street Champs circuit.

Metafy, which provides one-on-one coaching sessions with the most extraordinary players in gaming, will also sponsor all VALORANT tournaments in the Nerd Street Champs circuit. Metafy’s platform is made for gamers with all different learning styles who can take comfort in relying on the company’s expertise on several different types of lessons.

“Nerd Street runs the VCT events where the top teams compete. So naturally, when we wanted a way to build brand awareness within the Valorant community, Nerd Street was the place to go,” said Jeremey Kim, Senior Outreach Manager at Metafy. “We're excited to see where the partnership leads us!”

Nerd Street also welcomes a new partner to their CS:GO tournament, Fragadelphia. CS.MONEY will join the presenting sponsor, FTX US, in sponsoring this year’s Fragadelphia tournament taking place now through August. Fragadelphia welcomes amateur to professional CS:GO players to compete in-person every month for a chance to win the $100,000 Grand Finals.

“It is almost impossible to imagine the CS:GO industry without the variety of minor tournaments and LANs that have boosted so many players to the professional scene,” said Artsiom Rabtsau, Chief Marketing Officer at CS.MONEY. “By partnering with Nerd Street, we want to support and help such events thrive in the NA region and bring more emotions to their participants and viewers, so the whole CS:GO scene would benefit and grow.”
