Is the DLC worth it Payday 2?
The Dragon Pack is one of the best Payday 2 DLCs to come out in quite some time. The new heist is a great addition to Crime.net, no matter your preferred playstyle. Heisters can go in guns blazing or take a more strategic approach and stealth their way to the Jade Dragon.
“The reasoning for this is plain and simple: We want to move forward and make more of Payday 2, and to do so we need your support to continue producing content. New DLCs will be a mix of paid and free updates.” Payday 2 has an interesting backstory.
You don't "need" them to play the game, but I do recommend getting them to have the full experience. Legacy collection 100%, it has a lot more dlcs, and better ones as well. DLC stuff you pay for includes things you have to unlock, sometimes from doing difficult / obtuse tasks even though you paid for them.
It is pretty agreed upon that the Gage Mod Courier DLC is the best one. It will give you weapon mods that make many guns better. Map (heist) DLC is not super necessary since you can join them if someone else is hosting. You only need the DLC if you want to host yourself.

Payday 3 is still being developed by StarBreeze, the studio that developed the first two games and the holder of the Payday IP. It has however signed a deal with Koch Media worth 50 million euros, in which Koch will co-publish the game when it releases in 2023.
Hector's role as the rat in Hoxton's arrest, is rather ironic; one of his jobs involves killing people who have betrayed him, and is rather fittingly called "Rats". This could be a nod to his role as the traitor.
Almost all of that content will be collected in Payday 2: Ultimate Edition, a package that will be released June 8 on Steam for $44.99 (along with a 10 percent discount at launch). Overkill noted that it would cost more than $200 to buy the game and all its add-ons at their regular prices.
