Can a guy date a guy in Stardew?
The short answer is yes, you can. You have 12 romance options to choose from, 6 men and 6 women, and all are single and ready to mingle once you get closer to them and achieve their 8-heart event.
In Stardew Valley, players can be both straight and gay at the same time. In each game, the player can marry a romanceable female character or six romanceable male characters, whichever is most appealing to them.
Players in opposite-sex marriages can have biological children, while those in same-sex marriages can adopt.
Q: I'm already glad that I'll be able to play a girl, but will there be any possibility of girl/girl or boy/boy relationships in the game, or can you only woo/marry the opposite sex? A: Yep, same-sex dating/marriage is absolutely supported in Stardew Valley. Woo and marry whomever you like!
11 Best: Shane
His heart events are easily the most emotional ones in Stardew Valley. In terms of how easy he's to romance, Shane works at Joja Mart initially, so catching him early in the morning or later in the evening at the Stardrop Saloon is pretty easy. Just him a Beer there, as it's one of his loved gifts.
4 Get Caught Cheating
If you try to date everyone in town, you will ensure that a special cutscene will take place. Before this cut scene, you can be a little bit of a menace by giving gifts to others right in front of your partner. This will cause them to get jealous.
Stardew Valley is a game that's focused on story building and harmony, and as such, it's not surprising that the game allows you to get married and even pregnant – at the right time!
Leah is one of the more popular romance options in Stardew Valley, and it's easy to see why. She's creative, loves nature, and has great hair.
Same-sex marriage is available. Marriage is only available after The Player has reached 10 hearts with a certain marriageable villager. For marriageable villagers, the player must first give them a bouquet (bought from Pierre's store) after reaching 8 hearts with them in order to unlock the last 2 hearts.
Players can romance any available NPC, regardless of their own character's gender identity and dating preferences. This means that all 12 Stardew Valley candidates are available no matter the situation, giving players plenty of options to choose from.
Do babies grow up in Stardew Valley?
Unfortunately, Stardew Valley doesn't have the capacity to see children grow up into full-grown villagers with their own lives, but they do at least grow out of being a baby. For the first 14 days, the baby will remain in their crib at all times, seemingly always asleep.
Afterward, all ex-spouses will have no memory of the previous marriage, allowing players to date and remarry them if they choose. Children from marriage can also be 'turned into doves' at the Witch's Hut in exchange for a Prismatic Shard.
Unless players utilize mods on the PC version of Stardew Valley, no characters outside the aforementioned 12 can be married or romanced in any way. This means that Caroline, Jodi, Robin, Demetrius, Pierre, and so on cannot be married.
Robin is married to Demetrius and lives with her daughter Maru and son Sebastian.
Watch TheHaboo marry Shane in 43 minutes 35 seconds (opens in new tab). Shane has certain features that make him the fastest character to marry, ones that I hadn't noticed as a regular Stardew player.
It would cause the player to lose 250 friendship points with each bachelor/bachelorette, and cancel any engagement the player had with a villager. The bachelors/bachelorettes would exclaim they were all "breaking up" with the player, instead of giving the "cold shoulder."
Sadly, this is where the support of fluidity ceases. Although you can play Stardew Valley as a feminine man or a masculine woman, or you can change the appearance of your player-character at your whim, you still need to choose.
Strongly recommend you make a backup of your save before you start fiddling with it, just in case something goes wrong. Keep in mind that your appearance in game won't differ significantly between male/female, the only thing that will change is some slight dialogue adjustments.
