The dry time between applications of Mod Podge Mega Glitter is approximately 20–30 minutes, depending upon the thickness of application and the humidity level of the room.
Yes! You can use one of these two methods for your glitter ornaments: Coat the outside of your glass balls with Mod Podge and sprinkle the glitter on (either the entire ornament or parts like we did). Mix glitter and Mod Podge and swirl around the inside of the ornament.
If you want to stick and seal glitter onto fabric, we suggest using Aleene's permanent fabric glue. If you are adding glitter to an old pair of shoes, glass, wood, or almost any other surface, we suggest using mod podge. Mod podge is highly effective and keeps your glitter firmly in place.

You can apply Sparkle Mod Podge just as you would any other Mod Podge formula; however, I will say that I typically use Mod Podge Gloss to adhere paper and then top coat with Sparkle Mod Podge. This is because there are glitter particles in this formula that can prevent paper from being completely smooth.
A: Mod Podge dries clear, but it can dull the shine on items that are supposed to be blingy, like crystals and glitter. If the rest of the art is cloudy, it should dry with time. If there's any glitter on the piece, you'll have to deal with the dulling as any decoupage medium would do the same thing.
How many coats should I apply? I would use two – three coats to seal a project. You'll want more coats depending on how much the project will be handled. If it's a piece of furniture under heavy use, I'd even go up to five.

What kind of glue do you use for glitter?
Aleene's, Elmers and Mod Podge are all good options for clear glues. Craft Gliltter: Dries clear is best to avoid bleeding. Polyester Glitter: Dries clear is best, but white works with many of the kinds and colors.
Use clear glue spray, or hair spray to protect
If glitter rubs off a Christmas ornament then stop it from happening by coating it with a thin layer or spray on glue or hairspray. You can use these items to add extra protection and prevent the glitter from rubbing off in the first place.
For sealant options, you can use either glue, mod podge, or glitter sealant spray for the best results. You can also mix some glitter directly into a small amount of glue or mod podge to create your own glitter glues and paints.
If you find that your Mod Podged item is still tacky even after drying, just use a clear acrylic spray or brush-on sealer on top. Though Mod Podge is self-sealing, the sealer gives your project an added layer of protection.
Lay it on a clean surface and spray a layer of hairspray on the glitter that you wish to seal. You should hold the hairspray can at a distance of ten inches away from the fabric to get the best coverage. It dries very quickly but will not keep glitter in place for long.
