How do you farm Eldin ore?
Once players get the Digging Mitts they unlock the ability to dig. In the Eldin Volcano there are multiple soft soil patches that players can dig up. In these soil patches, Eldin Ore can be dug up so we recommend farming Eldin Ore here.
Another easy way is with Eldin Rollers, which sell for a whoppin' 40 rupees each. Start out by flying down to the Eldin Temple Entrance. In the opposite direction of the Temple Entrance and a little to the left is a spot where Eldin Rollers spawn. Snatch up these bugs and turn left and go through the house area.
Evil Crystals can be won as rewards from two different mini-games: the Clean Cut minigame and the Rickety Coaster minigame. The Clean Cut minigame is found on Bamboo Island, and players will have to cut the Bamboo 20-27 times in order to get the Crystal as a prize.

This beetle can be found throughout Eldin Volcano, usually in dig spots. You'll need to sneak up on them to catch them with the Bug Net.
A common insect found in Lanayru Desert. Dragonflies are easier to catch when approaching slow and steady. Go in and out of Stone Cache building (in Lanayru Desert) north along east wall to find infinite Gerudo Dragonflies.
The Starry Firefly is a collectible insect found in Skyward Sword. They are uncommon and can be found in the waterfall cave on Skyloft or by the river at night. They can also be found on the Pumpkin Landing or on Beedle's Island at night.
Evil Crystal
You only need 4 Evil Crystals to upgrade all of Link's gear, but it's easily one of the rarest pieces of treasure in Skyward Sword.
Link can take Evil Crystals to the Scrap Shop to upgrade the Bug Net into the Big Bug Net and the Bow into the Iron Bow and Sacred Bow. In addition, they can be sold to Rupin for 30 Rupees.
One can be found behind a bombable wall in the Faron Woods where the Kikwi Erla hid. A second can be found in the pool of water containing the entrance to the Great Tree, and can be obtained after obtaining the Water Dragon Scale.
Is there a trick to thrill digger?
Focusing more on the time aspect of getting rupees rather than clearing the board is the key to winning the Thrill Digger in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. The more board clearing goes on, the more chances a bomb will trigger stopping the run cold.
The Hylian Shield is the best shield in Skyward Sword, because it's larger size provides more protection and it happens to be indestructible.

You can catch bugs with the Bug Net, which you can purchase from Beedle's Shop in Skyloft. Bugs are used to infuse Potions at the Potion Shop. Strich is an insect fanatic and you can sell him insects in his room at the Knight Academy at night.

Sprint across the bridge, and you'll meet a Mogma who tells you not to mess with the lava plug. Ignore him and do that. Sprint back across the bridge and pick up a Bomb Flower. Roll it along the bridge, and it will destroy the plug.
Electric Darners can be found on Hyrule Ridge and in the Gerudo Desert. Beedle also sells them at Riverside Stable. They can be used with Monster Parts in a Cooking Pot to make an Electro Elixir, which will temporarily provide Shock Resistance to Link.
Where to buy electric darners. The easiest way to get some electric darners is to just buy them. Head to Riverside Stable (via Wahgo Katta shrine) and check with Beedle. He will have a few electric darners for sale at 10 rupees each.
Places to Pick Ancient Flower
In the caves just south of the southern entrance to the Lanayru Desert region, bowl bombs down the long quicksand passage to activate the Timeshift Stone. This makes it possible to reach the Flower in the larger pool of quicksand to the south.
Bugs are a collectible item found in both the The Sky and on the The Surface in Skyward Sword. At night, they can be sold to Strich, who is particularly fond of them, or used to upgrade Potions at the Infusion Shop.
How do you get a Skyloft mantis?
Skyloft Mantises can be found at Skyloft. They can be caught by using the Bug Net. Skyloft Mantises can be used to upgrade Potions at the Potion Shop or sold to Strich at the Knight Academy during nighttime.
You can sell your extra bugs to Strich in his room at the Knight Academy during nighttime. Much like Rupin, Strich only buys three varieties of insects so you need to check back and sell the bugs he wants to buy.
Ancient flowers have a chance of spawning in areas that return to the past by the effects of a Timeshift Stone.
Despite the rarity of them, however, you will not need that many of them. There are only three items in the game that call for these so unless you want 8 fully upgraded quivers on your person for whatever reason, you'll only need around two or three of them to upgrade everything.

Faron Grasshoppers can be found throughout Faron Province. They can be found under Pots inside the Sealed Temple, in the Sealed Grounds behind the Temple under rocks, Floria Waterfall, and under fruit in the Deep Woods, in addition to Faron Woods itself.
These rare insects can be found in the Lanayru Desert. The best place to find them is the very top of Skipper's house in Skipper's Retreat, accessible by climbing some vines. There's a ton of San Cicadas there.
The Bug Rock is a location in Skyward Sword. It is small island inside the Thunderhead, inhabited by a large number of Bugs. It is also the location of Strich's minigame called "Bug Heaven."
