Is it worth leveling Weaponsmithing New World?
It doesn't worth it. If you had enough money to spend on crafting A LOT of 595-600 GS items you could make some money back after a good roll, but right now most items dropped hugely on price, especially if they aren't 600GS. I recommend doing what you enjoy. Try the chest runs solo, with a small party, and/or zerging.
You'll want to craft all of the tools in New World, as you need them to gather almost all the resources in the game. You'll start by crafting the flint versions of each, but it's a good idea to craft the iron and steel variants as soon as you can for faster gathering.

If the gear is bound to the player character but isn't worth keeping, then it must be salvaged. If it isn't player-bound, then it can be sold at a trading post for gold.
I've seen a lot of topics going both ways on this but the reality is all gear from all sources are equal to each other. Crafted gear is in no ways better than items that can drop from dungeons or elite POIs and the same the other way around. All sources of gear are capped at 600 GS which is the max GS at this time.
How do you max stonecutting the New World?
As mentioned above, you level up Stonecutting by refining Stone and Raw Gemstones. Everything you craft gives you XP, but you're not going to want to keep making the same thing forever as your level scales. As you increase, you should be making higher tier items.

The source of the problem is reportedly defects within Nvidia cards made by EVGA and Gigabyte, rather than any fault with the game itself. Among the cards having issues are the RTX 3090, RTX 3080Ti, RTX 3080, RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3000 laptop GPUs.
Launches, including expansions, are always when the most people are playing. But even with this being the case, New World has seen a steep decline, going from a peak of nearly a million concurrent players in September to around 30,000 now. Unfortunately, Amazon's efforts do not seem to be keeping people around.
