What do secret rares look like?
A Secret Rare has a rainbow-colored foil that's applied to the artwork, card name, Attribute, and Level. The foil has a diagonal texturing instead of a plain reflective finish.
Secret Rare cards have a collector number higher than the advertised number of cards in the set. They are usually foil with a unique appearance.
Secret Rare is the highest category of Pokémon card rarity, and Secret Rare cards differ in several ways from lower-rarity cards. First, they have a collector card number that's higher than the advertised set number — hence the "secret" in their name.
Rarity secret are more rarer than an ultra rare looking at them the secret rare is a sparkly. the ultra rare is flat clean holo look.
Starlight Rare cards have the same horizontal holographic foil pattern as a Prismatic Secret Rare, but applied to the whole card rather than only the artwork. The only areas of the card to which the foil is not applied are the card text box, empty Link Arrows, and portions of the artwork.

Secret Rare cards come in two visual styles. Since there are more Rainbow Rare cards than Gold Rare cards in Lost Origin, you're more likely to open a Rainbow Rare card, but your odds on a specific Gold Rare are slightly better than your odds on a specific Rainbow Rare.

What is the R on Pokémon cards?
So there's one answer to the question of “how do you know if you have a rare Pokémon card?” If it has a star or an R in the lower right corner, it's “rare,” officially speaking.
Although there are various methods for increasing this chance, like Mass Outbreak hunting, the Masuda Method, or Dynamax Lairs, Shiny Pokemon will always be the rarest Pokemon you can catch in any game, and at the very least, much rarer than legendaries.

There are three kinds of secrets: natural, promised, and entrusted. This is a broad division and various subdivisions might be introduced under each class. But these subdivisions have no particular moral relevance except under the third class of entrusted secrets.
Similar to Starlight Rares, the entire card face of a Collector's Rare is covered in a rainbow foiling, and the artwork can feature various embossed patterns. I've written on Collector's Rares in the past , so there's not much I haven't already said about how absolutely stellar these cards look.
The Team Rocket Set was released on April 24, 2000 and it sure was a special one! The thing that made this set so iconic was that it was the first time the Pokémon Trading Card Game featured a secret rare card, Dark Raichu 83/82!
While you may have had a different experience with booster boxes previously, there are no guaranteed specific higher-than-rare cards or card types included in each booster box.

What is this? There's no better place to start than what many consider to be the rarest Pokemon card in existence, the Pikachu Illustrator card. This is the perfect example of a card with extremely limited supply and few graded copies in existence.
What is the hardest card to pull in trick or trade?

Most rainbow cards are classified as secret rares. This is a card with a set number beyond the total. For example, Pikachu VMAX 188/185.
So how tough are they to find? Starlight Rares are pretty hard to snag! Expect to find roughly one Starlight Rare for every two cases of booster boxes you open. With five Starlight Rares per set, you might need to crack ten cases of a set just to get the Starlight Rare you're looking for!

This was a special offering because every Secret Rare Gold Pokémon card since then has featured a Shiny Pokémon. The appearance of Shiny Pokémon on Gold Secret Rares as a staple of Pokémon TCG sets began with Sword & Shield – Rebel Clash and has remained a staple of every mainline set ever since.
Some of the rarest cards in all of the Sword and Shield expansions are VMAX cards, especially the variations.

This version of Arceus VSTAR is printed as a Gold Rare, the highest card rarity in most modern Pokémon sets. Normally that would make it the most valuable version of Arceus in Brilliant Stars, but one other Arceus card actually has the same pull rate (1 in 568) and a fully illustrated background.
