What is the hardest Silent Realm in Skyward Sword? ›

The Silent Realm - Skyloft entrance is right by the Tower of Light at the south end of town. Play the Goddess's Harp around the butterflies near the bottom of the tower to enter the Silent Realm. This is the toughest Silent Realm you will face, especially due to the ample Sentry Sentinels patrolling the area.

The Silent Realm is a spiritual realm in Skyward Sword. The Silent Realm may only be entered by the goddesses' chosen hero. Even Fi may not enter. Link accesses the realm by thrusting his sword on a Trial Gate, found by dowsing an area known to house a portal.

Like the Three Heart Challenge and Speedruns, 100% Completion is an optional challenge for The Legend of Zelda series. In order to have a 100% completed file, it must contain all Heart Containers, upgrades, items, and collectibles.

When you first dive into Lanayru Desert, select the North Desert Bird Statue. That way, you will be near the spot to start the Silent Realm. Use your Dowsing ability to spot the glow area nearby (with the Goddess Butterflies flying around it).

Koloktos. This Ancient Automata is a genuine joy to fight against, but it's definitely one of the toughest bosses in Skyward Sword. Its first phase sees it smack you with multiple swords and arms.

The desert time travel puzzles are rightly regarded as the best part of the game but even they take an eternity to play out, as you struggle with fiddly controls, awkward level layouts, and enemies that seem to have been designed purely to get in the way rather than being any fun to fight.

Much later in the game, when you revive the Thunder Dragon, you can talk to him to replay any of the 4 silent realms and any of the boss fights you've done up to that point. Then you can replay them and get all the dusk relics you want.

From where you pick up the Dungeon Map, face east. Roll a bomb at the wall to reveal a hidden tunnel. Burrow into the spot inside.

Also, getting 43+ cuts doesn't do anything; you get the same reward as for 28+, and he even says the same thing. My best is 66 on the bamboo slicing game, which registered as 2 cuts, so the glitch is in all copies of the game. Honestly, getting 45+ is just luck.

Evil Crystal

You only need 4 Evil Crystals to upgrade all of Link's gear, but it's easily one of the rarest pieces of treasure in Skyward Sword. Fortunately, there are a couple of different ways to find some.

Once you meet the Thunder Dragon and help him regain his health, you can return to any of the Silent Realm challenges. To get lots of dusk relics, all you have to do is pick them up the first time around, get caught by a guardian and then get them again (they respawn). You can do that as many times as you like.

Despite its intimidating appearance and being fought relatively late in the game, Koloktos remains easy to defeat, with a small number of rounds to repeat, similar behavior in the two phases, and exposed weak point. His imposing appearance makes his speed relatively low, making dodges easy.

1 Ancient Cistern

The Ancient Cistern is a masterclass of level design and easily the best dungeon in Skyward Sword. The Whip is an incredible item that makes great use of the Wiimote and the puzzles inside the Cistern pull from most of Link's tool kit up to that point.
