Your Sweeps, Your Data
The SmartBroom app saves every sweep, allowing for quick review during your session, and long term monitoring after.
If you want to analyse your data on a PC, or store the data in your own database, the data is available as standard .csv files.

SmartBroom uses advanced software to make your life easier - we do the analysis for you. The raw data from the sensors is processed and analysed by algorithms directly on the device, so the user is shown information that is truly helpful. It couldn’t be easier.
All Day Power
SmartBroom uses a high-capacity rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that charges over a standard USB-C cable.
A full charge will comfortably last a full 10-end game of continuous data collection, and will enable full day training without intervention.
Force
The heart of SmartBroom is a set of highly accurate high-speed force sensors that measure the downward force applied to the ice while sweeping. The data is presented as a 'push' force (the maximum within each stroke) and a 'pull' force (the minimum within each stroke).
Frequency
SmartBroom monitors your frequency, or stroke rate, in strokes/second. The more often the brush-head passes in the path of the stone, the more impact the sweeper can have on the stone
SPI
SmartBroom combines all the sweeping variables (push-force, pull-force, frequency) into one ultimate result, the SPI (Sweeping Performance Index). The SPI is the only standard for sweeping performance, and the only way to truly gauge overall sweeping effectiveness.
The SPI gives you a single point of comparison over one sweep, between multiple sweeps, or between multiple people. As you vary your force or frequency, you can see the impact they have on your overall effectiveness. The SPI is an incredibly powerful tool for concepts that have, in the past, been difficult to visualize, and it's only available with a SmartBroom.
